Scripture Memorization Challenge: Resting in Him (Week 43)
This week’s Scripture is Hebrews 4:11 (KJV):
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Hebrews 4 is all about the importance of entering into the rest that God has provided for His people. This rest is a much needed rest to restore our body, mind, and spirit. I am sure you understand that when we run around constantly working and serving that we are not able to be filled with His peace and presence. Don’t get me wrong, I am in no way suggesting that you should sit around and do nothing, rather I am saying that the Lord wants us to rest in order to remain strong in body, soul, and spirit.
I encourage you today to be obedient to the call for rest that God declares upon His people. Don’t ignore the importance of rest for those who labor to the glory of God. We need to be sure that we make time to rest in His presence and allow for the nourishment that only He can provide for our spirit, body, and soul.
If you haven’t already, dear sister, enter into His rest and watch the spirit of God do an even mightier work in and through you!
Commit this verse to memory.
Make it an absolute point this week to find an area that you need to be more “restful” in. Everyone’s life looks different so don’t try and compare your “rest” to any one else – rather determine the area that you need it and be obedient – and rest.
Pray and ask God how you can help assist someone in their need to rest. You will be surprised at the unique ways the Lord will use you to bless one of his people who is in need of entering into His rest.
